Triathlon Course Info: The first annual Speedway Sprint Triathlon begins with a swim at Wyandotte Lake. Bikers exit the Lake complex, go straight to the Kansas Speedway and make several laps around the flat, fast new roads of the Speedway. Cyclists end with half a lap on the track and and enter the transition area is in Pit Row. The run goes back out of the Speedway complex, makes one lap around on the roads around the track, heads back into the infield and onto the track where runners sprint to the finish under the checkered flag in Pit Row. The bike is extremely fast and flat. It should be one of the nicest bike courses in the country as the roads around the Speedway are new, flat and wide. Of course, the lap around the Track itself will be awesome. The run is also very flat with no real hills of any kinds. Wet suits will not be allowed for those who wish to be eligible for awards.
