The Freescale Marathon is a USATF-certified and sanctioned, point-to-point course (elevation & course map here) that begins in northwest Austin, continues south through downtown toward the Colorado River (aka Town Lake), wraps around the lake and finishes on Auditorium Shores. This course features several of Austin's most prestigious and prominent landmarks including:

• Texas State Capitol
• Texas Governor's Mansion
• University of Texas campus
• Town Lake
• Hyde Park Historic district
• Austin's famous 6th Street District
