Carl Touchstone Mississippi Trail 50
50 Mile, 50 K, and 20 K endurance RunsThe Carl Touchstone Mississippi Trail 50 is held the first Saturday (2005 will be a one time exception) in March each year on the Longleaf Horse Trail in the De Soto National Forest just south of Laurel, MS. The race was started in 1996 by Carl Touchstone, a local dentist and popular ultra runner. The 2005 race on March 12, 2005 will be the 10th anniversary of the race in Laurel, and the fifth that commemorates Carl's untimely death due to cancer.
This is a relatively easy course and a good first 20K/50K/50M.
